WELCOME TO OUR NEW WEBSITE!




The Chelmsford Competitive Festival is now in its 51st year and is organised to promote performance skills in speech, drama and music.  It is open to anyone with a love of the arts and who wishes to compete and receive constructive feedback - there are no age barriers!  It takes place during the the first and second weekends of November and is followed by a Prizewinner's Concert at the end of November every year.

SPEECH AND DRAMA
If your specialism is in the dramatic arts then this is the section for you.  You can enter adjudicated classes in Verse Speaking, Acting, Mime, Musical Theatre and Choral Speaking.

MUSIC
All instrumentalists and singers are most welcome to participate in our festival.  Your solo skills can be adjudicated; alternatively there are performance opportunies from duets to large choirs.

Chelmsford Competitive Festival is very grateful for the support of Chelmsford Borough Council and James Dace and Son.  It is affiliated to the National Federation of Festivals.
